Flying to Poland? I hope you’ll have time to visit the capital of Lower Silesia! It’s said to be the second best place after Cracow for sighseeing, however,
I would say it’s the best one. Today, we are going to slightly change the main subject of this site and we are going to talk about kids. Lately, I’ve had a great pleasure to receive in Poland visitors from abroad. My friends from the United States came to Wrocław with their families for a few days, what was a perfect incentive for me to familiarize with the subject of local attractions for children. I didn’t realise it before that there are so many!
It doesn’t matter if it’s a holiday, christmas, spring break or just sunny or rainy weekend. I guess that every parent struggled once in a while with that problem – how to best organise free time with their children. If you are still puzzled, this article is for you! Well, Wrocław is a perfect place for everyone – families, students, travelers. A perfect place for creative minds, who love to spend their time in a productive way. The attractions are open throughout the whole year, so you can plan your trip here regardless of the season.
I guess that football pitches, playgrounds or cinemas can be found in every corner, therefore I came up with an idea that it’d be nice if someone described distinguished local places.
So, what are the best places in Wrocław? Where to go, when and how to prepare for a trip?
Dwarf Hunting
I know, from my personal experience, that dwarf hunting is one of the best attractions in Wrocław for both parents and children. These little figures of gnomes are dispersed and hidden in strategic places in the whole city. To ease your explorations, try to get the city map from any tourist information spot. In case that you are out of time, don’t get to worried about the little dwarfs, because surely you’ll bump on them during your city excursions.

Hydropolis – recreation and education at once, in the Center of science and knowledge about the water.
Place, in which you will get to know some interesting facts and secrets of H2O. With the interactive panels, models, replications and use of new innovative technologies, your offsprings will study and play at once. Maybe they will discover their new passion? I would suggest you to dedicate more or less 2 hours of your daily agenda for this attraction.
